Hi Max how are you? Looking forward to Mácháč festival and what you think about Czech partypeople?
I am very excited as this will be my first time playing in the Czech Republic! I know you guys are great hockey players, but we will see how hard you can party!
Will this be your first visit to the Czech Republic or have you visited as a tourist before?
Yeah this will be my first visit ever. I've been to a few countries around, so it'll be cool to visit and play in Czech Republic.
Mácháč Festival in the Czech Republic will be one of the biggest festivals this year. What can we expect from Max Vangeli?
I am going to play a lot of my own music, which I love to do. It's always great to see positive response from the crowd when you play your own creations. If I'm enjoying what I'm doing and the crowd is having a great time, then I've done my job.

In your dj set we will certainly hear great house music. What effects the selection of tracks that you play during a performance and do you prefer well known hits or play the new tracks?
Well as I said earlier, I love playing my own tracks a lot, with a combination of new stuff which I get from my DJ friends and such. But it really all depends on so many things such as the vibe, the weather, the mood. No two sets are the same. Sometimes you have to go harder and other times less so.
Your new tracks and remixes are supported by Tiesto, David Guetta, Swedish House Mafia, Pete Tong, Eric Morillo and more ... Which support do you enjoy the most?
Well of course I respect all of them, but I feel fortunate to have such strong support from Swedish House Mafia because we work close together and they are amazing people.
You're known as a great producer, so we ask a few questions on music production ...
How long does it take you to create one track and do you prefer to produce your own music or to remix?
All depends really, sometimes it takes just a day, other times - a year. I never try and rush my creations and always prefer to be “safe than sorry”. As for remix work, I love to do a combination of original tracks and remixes.
In the studio do you prefer to make music solo or to work with someone else?
I work with AN21 so much that I would say I like working together. Its more fun that way!
Tell us about your great new track with Max C, "Look Into Your Heart". What was it like to work with Max C on the track? And we can expect some remixes?
I met Max C in Miami at WMC 2 years ago. I loved what he did for Axwell’s “I Found You”, so we decided to hook up and do a record. We recorded the vocals that same day in a hotel room, kind of an interesting story. As for remixes, yeah they are already out with the original.
Not long ago you on your facebook page asked for fans, with whom you should collaborate with (in addition to AN21). Many names mention and we know the remix of "Nothing Better (Erick Morillo & Eddie Thoneick). Going any further and cooperation? And if so with whom?
Lots of ideas, but with all the traveling its hard to hook up and do proper studio sessions. But right now we will do some stuff with Kim Fai, also been talking to Avicii as well so we will see.
Do you think of yourself as more of a DJ or a producer? What do you prefer?
Both at the same time. I am very confident in my DJ sets and my studio work as well. I think both elements are key to success.
Current Top 5 tracks?
01. Switchfoot – Always (Max Vangeli and AN21 Remix)
02. Steve Angello - KNAS
03. Norman Doray, Avicii, Seb Drums - Tweet It
04. Prodigy - Smack My Bitch Up (Max Vangeli and AN21 Booty)
05. Tommy Trash and Moguai - Unknown
We know that you come from Europe (Moldova) and often stay here in Europe, but you have American citizenship and a life over there. Do you feel more European or American?
I'm actually a dual citizen so I am a mix of both, as I like to believe. The two cultures are very different and there's a lot to appreciate about Europe as well as America. I always encourage my American friends to visit Europe and my European friends to visit the US and Canada.

Tell us your views on dance music, is it moving in the right direction?
Oh boy its just flying high! I think dance music is going to take over the world in 4-5 years. We need to take back what’s ours now! This is probably the best time ever to be a house music producer, so many opportunities!
What kind of music do you like to listen to other than dance? Name your favorite musicians or singers...
I love Queen. If Freddie was still alive that would be a dream for me to do a collaboration with him. He is a musical genius and I love all their stuff. In the hip hop genre, Drake is very talented. There is so much great music out there, when I get the chance I love to surf around iTunes and check out new stuff.
Favorite car?
Plane
Favorite clothing?
Naked
Blonde or brunette?
Both
And when I asked the women... you have a girlfriend, or are you single?
Do you plan to abstain in the CZ, or after the performance at Mácháč you move to another destination?
I am doing extensive European touring at the moment but, if time permits, would love to stay for a bit to check out the scene and the food.
Last question: Where are you going on vacation?
When you love what you do your whole life is a big vacation so I would say all around the world!
Your message for the partypeople at Mácháč Festival...
